Watch the trailer for Clarkson, Hammond, and May’s ‘The Grand Tour’

If you didn’t already know it, a new show by the former Top Gear folks launches exclusively on Amazon Prime on November 18.

Judging by the high-octane trailer released on Thursday, The Grand Tour should more than satisfy fans of the old show, with Clarkson, Hammond, and May apparently continuing on from exactly where they left off.

The big-budget, lavishly produced show will follow the boys across four continents in what May describes as “a road trip in very exotic cars.” But there’ll also be supercars, helicopters, speed boats, tanks, Jet Skis, and even a camel – one that refuses to cooperate with Clarkson, by the looks of it.

It all looks very cinematic, and with pretty much the same former-Top-Gear brains running the show – including executive producer and long-time Clarkson collaborator Andy Wilman – it’s a safe bet gearheads will be in for quite a ride.

Just like their old Top Gear show, The Grand Tour will include pre-recorded segments shot around the world as well as studio-based sequences. With their old show, the studio slots were filmed inside an adapted aircraft hangar near London, but The Grand Tour will take with it a giant tent so local fans of the lads will have a chance to be a part of the audience.

Amazon secured the services of the British trio after the BBC fired Clarkson from Top Gear last year following a bust-up with one of the show’s producers. Amazon boss Jeff Bezos said the deal to nab the lads was “very, very, very expensive,” with some reports claiming the e-commerce giant paid as much as $250 million for 36 episodes over three years.

We’ll soon get to see if it was money well spent.

Murtaugh and Riggs standing outside talking to someone in the Lethal Weapon series.

Amazon Prime Video has tons of high-profile shows like The Boys, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and Invincible. But the streaming service has lesser-known, not as popular originals, too. Amazon also affords access to other shows that don’t get as much attention. If you’re looking for something to watch this month before summer comes to a close, there’s plenty from which to choose.

These shows are relatively underrated in their respective genres, but you might find that you love them. Each one is a reimagining of a previous series or movie (or movies) with a fresh perspective to keep you entertained.
