Kanguru Unveils SATA/USB 2.0 External Drive

Kanguru Solutions, a maker of computer storage and security peripherals, today announced they’d added a new external combination Serial ATA and USB 2.0 hard drive to their line up of products. This latest Kanguru QuickSilver is available now in different storage sizes (80GB to 500GB) and price ranges ($139.95 to $529.95).

The Kanguru QuickSilver (SATA/USB 2.0) external hard drive, said Kanguru, is capable of getting hard drive transfer rates up to 1.5GB per second via the SATA interface. This drive is targeted towards video creation, editing and production, graphic design and gaming.

Other features of the Kanguru QuickSilver (SATA/USB 2.0) include support for both Windows and Mac OS, a high strength enclosure that reportedly secures the drive from external damage and resists up to 200Gs of shock, a blue LED status light and a custom carrying case.

Apple has finally kicked off the 2022 edition of its Worldwide Developers Conference. The main keynote of the conference, known as WWDC for short, will be streaming online, along with various breakout sessions, throughout the week.

The focus of the event was on the latest versions of Apple's operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, and WatchOS, and tvOS. A new MacBook Air powered by an M2 processor also made an appearance.

At its annual Build developer conference, Microsoft has announced Live Share for Microsoft Teams, a new feature that could replace boring screen shares. The experience is designed to make your meetings more collaborative and engaging, so that you can interact with and share content in a meeting in new ways.

Microsoft believes it can help you better interact with shared apps directly in a Teams meeting window. It'll be up to app developers to enable it, but Live Share in the Teams meeting stage should allow you to annotate, edit, zoom in and out, and interact with shared content.

For a couple of years, Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) has been a reason to buy an RTX GPU. AMD's updated FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 (FSR 2.0) changes that.
