When it comes to gaming on your PC, you’ll want to make sure you’re running hardware that supports the kinds of games you want to play. In the case of Windows-powered desktops like the Lenovo Legion, all of your gaming essentials (solid clock speeds, powerful graphics, great lag reduction, etc.) are more than satisfied. Fortunately, while perusing our go-to retailers for gaming PC deals, we found this exceptional Lenovo offer:

For a limited time, when you purchase the Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 8 through Intel, you’ll save $550 on the computer when you buy through Lenovo. It’s down to $1,450 from its usual $2,000.

Why you should buy the Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 8

For gaming PCs, what’s running the show under the hood is crucial. The Legion’s core components are totally up to the challenge though. This PC is equipped with an Intel Core i7-13700F with 16GB of RAM and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. These are the types of peripherals that bring supercharged speeds and response time to the table. We’ve been big fans of NVIDIA’s foray into its Ada Lovelace architecture, and the results are evermore prevalent on the Legion 5i. Think arresting colors and contrast with AI automations adjusting hue and brightness in the blink of an eye.

Your new Lenovo purchase also comes with three months of Xbox Game Pass — with EA Play included — on the house. Once you start putting the Legion 5i through its paces, you’ll want to make sure your PC is capable of cooling itself down. In the case of the Legion 5i, the PC delivers 150W air cooling and does so quietly. The front grille also uses mesh to increase natural air flow.

Additional features include 1TB of internal storage, several AV and data inputs/outputs, and customizable RGB lighting. You’ll also get Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1 support, and a USB keyboard and mouse combo.

It’s hard to say just how long this Lenovo sale is going to last, so we advise buying soon if you like the specs and price. Save $550 when you purchase the Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 8 through Lenovo. On the way out, we suggest taking a look at some of the Lenovo laptop deals we found this week if you need your gaming to follow you everywhere. We have a solid list of desktop computer deals too.

Black Friday’s best PC hardware deal is still live, and you’re sleeping on it
The Ryzen 5 7600X sitting among thermal paste and RAM.

I'm not mad, just disappointed. A couple of weeks ago, I covered the insane deal that essentially allowed you to score a Ryzen 5 7600X -- still one of the best processors you can buy -- for just $105. At the time, I thought, surely, this will sell out in a matter of hours. Who would pass up on a deal this good? And yet, two weeks later to the day, the craziest deal I've seen during all of Black Friday and Cyber Monday is still live on Newegg.

Let me break down the deal again. You can get the Ryzen 5 7600X for $225, which is not a good price. However, you can get an additional $30 off by using promo code DLCDZ342, bringing the price down to $195. The kicker is that you also get a free Team Group MP44L 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. That's a $90 hard drive that Newegg is just throwing in with a CPU that's already available for a decent price. The fact that the deal is still live suggests either Newegg has a ton of inventory, or not enough people know about this sale.

The Lenovo Legion 5i with RTX 4060 is 37% off for Cyber Week
The Lenovo Legion 5i laptop with the Legion logo on the screen.

Often the home of great gaming laptop deals, Lenovo has a particularly great one for anyone keen to game in style this holiday season. Today, you can buy the Lenovo Legion 5i with a 16-inch screen for just $1,121, meaning you’re saving 37% or $669 off the regular price. It's a hefty price cut, but it’s worth remembering that Lenovo’s estimated value system means that sometimes the original price is optimistically high. But the discounted price is still great either way. One of the better laptop deals around, the Lenovo Legion 5i looks great and packs plenty of punch for the price. Here’s why you’ll want it.

Why you should buy the Lenovo Legion 5i
Lenovo is one of the best gaming laptop brands around and my personal favorite of the bunch. Having owned an older Lenovo Legion laptop for a number of years, I’d happily recommend the range for anyone seeking a reliable gaming laptop. With the Lenovo Legion 5i, you get a great upgrade to my four-year-old Lenovo Legion. It has a 14th-generation Intel Core i7-14650HX CPU and it’s teamed up with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. The highlight here is its Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card with 8GB of dedicated VRAM. It’s the best graphics card in this price range dodging the downfall of the weaker 4050 GPU.
