Discord

As it was the go-to voice and text-chat platform for gamers the world over, it was rather surprising how long it took Sony to add Discord integration for the PlayStation 5. Initially, there wasn't a native Discord app you could use on the console; however, an update made it far easier to chat with friends straight from your console while you're playing the best PS5 games.

Step 5: Choose the Discord server or group you want to join.

Step 6: If another user on Discord calls you, you will get a notification and can join the call directly through it.

Remember, if you end up in a conversation you're uncomfortable with, you can report a specific Discord user.

This will work with all the best PS5 headsets or even earbuds. If you need a hand figuring out how to connect your AirPods to PS5, we can help you out there as well.

Key art for the Super Citizen Edition of Helldivers 2.

Last night's Game Awards confirmed what we already feared: the Illuminate have arrived, and they're frightening enough to give any Helldiver a case of the sweaty palms. Not that the protectors of Super Earth would admit to fear; they're more likely to take up this new, limited-edition Helldivers II controller and get back out on the battlefield. And now you can, too. The controller will be available for preorder at 10 a.m. ET on December 20 for a starting price of $85. The official launch is planned for February 6, 2025.
