Where to find mandrakes in Hogwarts Legacy

Fans of the Harry Potter film and books will be familiar with the mandrakes in Hogwarts Legacy. These are one magical plant you certainly don’t want to encounter without proper ear protection, but that’s not something you need to worry about all that much in the game. Instead, actually finding a source of these screaming plants is the real task. While there are a couple of ways to get your hands on them, none are explicitly pointed out to you. If you’re ready for a quick lesson in herbology, here’s where you can find mandrakes in Hogwarts Legacy.

Where to get mandrakes

Where to buy mandrakes

The easiest method to get mandrakes, provided you’ve got the funds, is to simply purchase them. While most vendors are hit-and-miss when it comes to stocking up on them, the one reliable source you can always go to for your mandrakes fix is Dogweed and Deathcap located in Hogsmeade. You can buy them for 500 Galleons each.

How to grow mandrakes

If you want to show off your green thumb, grow your own mandrakes by planting mandrakes seeds on a potting table in the herbology classroom. Seeds, once again, can be purchased from Dogweed and Deathcap.

Where to find mandrakes

If you’re pressed for time and cash, you can go scavenging for mandrake in the wild. These plants grow in the Forbidden Forest, though are not a very common resource to find, so you may end up wandering around quite a bit to locate them.

What mandrakes are used for

Mandrakes are useful for multiple purposes in Hogwarts Legacy, the most important being that you need them to begin Professor Garlick’s assignments to learn important spells like Wingardium Leviosa and Flipendo. You can also pull them out in a battle to stun, deafen, and even harm enemies in range.

All Experts in Star Wars Outlaws and where to find them

Unlike most other Ubisoft games, or even most RPGs for that matter, you don't level up and unlock skills as you would expect to in Star Wars Outlaws. You won't earn any points or find a skill tree waiting for you here, but rather the new Experts system. As you explore the galaxy and meet new people while hunting for treasures, you will encounter special characters called Experts who are willing to help Kay expand her skills. Well, once you find and help them out, that is. Without their help, you're stuck with your basic abilities for the whole game, so taking a break from your main quest to find them is well worth your time. How learning new skills works

As we mentioned, you won't find yourself leveling up after completing missions or dispatching enemies. The only way to learn any new skills is through finding an Expert.

While Kay Vess is no amateur when you begin Star Wars Outlaws, she's far from a pro. She is a decent shot, can hack basic computers, and even pick locks, but she's not much more complicated than that. Unlike a traditional open-world game — especially a Ubisoft one — you won't find any skill trees or XP bars here. Instead, Kay can only pick up new abilities by meeting special Experts. These NPCs are scattered across the various planets and need to be found and befriended before you can start working on unlocking new skills. Armored Undershirt

The first Ability you should aim for is Armored Undershirt, which you can start on right away since it is part of Bram's set. This Ability is a passive buff that increases your default HP by 1, which is incredibly valuable at the start of the game when you only have three. Hunt down or purchase Ironweave and 8 Coarsweave on Toshara to snag it.

All Map Fragment locations in Shadow of the Erdtree

What made the experience of Elden Ring so special was how it handled its open-world design. There was a bit of concern about FromSoftware combining the Souls-style combat and map design into an open world, but the result has become one of the most celebrated examples of how open-world design should be done. So, needless to say, everyone was itching for that map to get expanded with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The Land of Shadows is a separate new zone added to the game, but it is far larger and more dense than anyone anticipated. As it was in the base game, just exploring the map won't uncover the map for you. To do that, you need to find Map Fragments hidden around the world. There are five to collect to fully reveal the Land of Shadows, so go get them first to get a good lay of the land early.

The first area you start in when beginning Shadow of the Erdtree is the Gravesite Plain. Simply ride forward across the field toward the pillar beside the road to collect it.
