Black Friday and Cyber Monday are in the rearview mirror, but you can still find great deals on consoles this holiday season. If you missed out on snagging a Nintendo Switch on a discount, Walmart has multiple Switch deals to take advantage of starting Sunday, December 9.

Nintendo Switch ‘Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle’ bundle ($299)

Right now you can grab a Nintendo Switch with a physical copy of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle for $299. That means you’re getting a $60 game for free with your new Switch console. Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is a great turn-based strategy game that injects zany humor into the XCOM turn-based strategy formula. You’d be surprised at how well the mashup of the Mushroom Kingdom and Ubisoft’s Rabbids works.

Nintendo Switch Labo/controller bundle ($339)

This bundle comes with a Switch console, a Nintendo Labo kit, and an Ematic wired controller (fashioned off the official Pro Controller) for $339. Labo kits are normally $70, and you have your pick of the Variety, Robot, or Vehicle kit. Nintendo Labo is a DIY construction kit that lets kids (and kids at heart) make cardboard pianos, fishing rods, motorbikes, and more. Then you can use your builds to play the included software with the help of the nifty Joy-Con. When you add the controller to the mix, you’re saving a total of $50.

Walmart

Nintendo Switch with free controllers ($299-$315)

This bundle includes two Ematic wired controllers totally free when you buy a Switch at its regular retailer price of $299. If you’d rather have wireless controllers, you can pay $315 to get two Ematic wireless controllers instead.

Walmart

Nintendo Switch with VR headset ($300)

You’re better off purchasing any of the other three, but if they sell out, you can get a Switch for $299 with a VR-Tek headset for free. The VR-Tek headset is a budget headset for Windows PCs, so it has absolutely nothing to do with Switch. But hey, it’s free with the purchase of a Switch.

The best co-op games on Nintendo Switch
Amazon earth day used Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Nintendo Switch is home to some of the best games of all time -- single-player or multiplayer. Unlike its competition with the best PS5 games and best Xbox Series X games, the Switch hasn't moved away from the classic couch co-op style of games we all grew up with. That isn't to say there aren't online co-op and cross-platform games as well, but you do have a lot more options on the Switch than other systems. As we approach the end of the Switch's lifecycle and prepare for the Switch 2, now is the best time to check out the massive library of co-op games to make the wait a little easier.

This free Nintendo Switch game is messy, but endearingly weird
Denpa Men run around a town in The New Denpa Men.

The Nintendo Switch just got a new free-to-play exclusive, and it's a big deal for a very niche but dedicated fanbase. The New Denpa Men is the latest entry in developer Genius Sonority's Denpa Men series. If you haven't heard of that before, there's good reason. The series debuted on Nintendo 3DS and has had several entries since, spanning out to mobile, but its most recent installments were exclusive to Japan. The Switch release brings the quirky RPG back west, which marks an exciting return for its cult following.

Or it should have been exciting, at least. As it stands, The New Denpa Men is a bit of a mess at launch. A laughable English localization, a frustrating online requirement, and some pesky microtransactions already have fans torn. While those are all issues that have bugged me during my first few hours with the release, I'm still finding some endearingly weird charm in the RPG. It feels like a return to a different era of Nintendo, where the company's hardware gimmicks led to some welcome creative swings.
