Ubisoft has a third patch incoming for Assassin’s Creed Unity, and it’s a big one

Ubisoft continues to clean up the rocky launch of Assassin’s Creed Unitywith a substantial third patch incoming that addresses many of the most commonly-experienced problems, according to a post on the developer’s blog. Patch 3 is larger in scope than the previous update.

The exact list of changes is not yet finalized, but among the planned fixes listed are fixing more parts of the environment where Arno is getting stuck, better NPC and crowd navigation, and smoother matchmaking for multiplayer. This patch continues the effort to stabilize the game since its day one update and subsequent second patch.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows: release date, trailers, gameplay, and more
The two heroes of Assassin's Creed Shadows stand side by side.

We've been asking for it ever since the series debut, and now we're finally getting an Assassin's Creed game set in feudal Japan. Previously known by the code name Assassin's Creed Red, Assassin's Creed Shadows will be the latest entry in the long-running Assassin's saga and will now be competing directly with Ghost of Yotei, as well as other heavy-hitting games in February like Monster Hunter Wilds. That said, of all the upcoming video games, an AC game set in Japan is likely going to be one of the most anticipated upcoming PS5 games and upcoming Xbox Series X games. Ubisoft let us know we would be getting the world premiere trailer first, but it turns out there was a lot more to show than just a first glimpse at the game. We've managed to gather all the footage and information shared online to deliver you the goods about Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Sorry, Nintendo fans, but you won't be able to partake in this Assassin's Creed game, but there are still plenty of upcoming Switch games to be excited for.

Ubisoft is making some big, last-minute changes. The next game in the Assassin's Creed franchise has been pushed into next year, according to a statement the company published Wednesday, due in part to the lower-than-expected performance of Star Wars Outlaws.

Assassin's Creed Shadows, which is set in feudal Japan and has two playable protagonists, has been delayed from November 15, 2024, to February 14, 2025, to give the developers more time to "polish and refine the experience."
