This 4-in-1 washing machine combo from Eureka cleans almost everything in your home

The Eureka Dual Washing Bot with a robot vacuum docked at its base.
Eureka

Eureka isn’t a household name like Roborock or iRobot, but that didn’t stop the smart home company from showing off one of the most unique products of CES 2024. The Eureka Dual Washing Bot is an upcoming washing machine that doubles as a dryer, features a built-in robot vacuum and mop, and boasts a sleek design that rivals the best washers available today.

In other words, this 4-in-1 washing machine can clean and dry your clothes while simultaneously vacuuming and mopping your floors. That makes it one of the most versatile smart home gadgets on display in Las Vegas.

Featuring a metallic blue exterior and a control panel near the top of the unit, the Eureka Dual Washing Bot looks like a typical high-end washing machine. But look at its base, and you’ll find a dock for a robot vacuum. After connecting the unit to your drain and water lines, it can automatically fill and empty its water reservoirs. That makes it much more autonomous than the robot vacuums of 2023, which required frequent water refills and dirty reservoir cleaning. It maxes out at 5,000 Pa of suction, putting it below the most expensive robot vacuums but in line with mid-range products.

Along with cleaning your floors and clothes, the Dual Washing Bot can clean itself, rinsing and drying its mops after each cycle. The unit also features food-grade deodorization to prevent mold and mildew build-up. The only regular maintenance you’ll need to perform is swapping out the dust bag — which should only happen once every 60 days.

The robot vacuum won’t just clean your home but also deploy and alert you when your laundry is done. It even doubles as a camera to check in on your home while on vacation, and it can issue smart audio alerts to let you know how the cleaning cycle is progressing.

Eureka hasn’t revealed a launch date or pricing details for the Dual Washing Bot, but expect it to carry a premium price tag.

Segway expands its smart home footprint with robot lawn mowers at CES 2024
The Segway i Series being set up.

Segway -- the company responsible for Paul Blart's preferred mode of transportation -- already has a surprisingly robust smart home lineup. The company expanded its catalog at CES 2024, revealing a new series of robot lawn mowers (Navimow i Series) and a new portable power station (Segway Cube Series).

The upcoming Navimow i Series makes a few big improvements over Segway's existing H Series. Along with the ability to work without wires (which are typically used to set boundaries for the robot), the i Series employs a technology known as the Exact Fusion Locating System (EFLS). Segway says this will let the robot lawn mower better track its location and ensure it's cutting your lawn as close to specifications as possible.

Eufy shows off four security cameras and an upcoming robot vacuum
The Eufy X10 Pro Omni in a living room.

Eufy is a big name in the smart home space, and it had plenty of cool gadgets to show off at CES 2024. Along with giving consumers a closer look at four recently launched security cameras, Eufy revealed the X10 Pro Omni robot vacuum and mop, which looks to be an affordable alternative to flagships from Roborock and Ecovacs.

The X10 Pro Omni doesn't make any huge innovations in the world of robot vacuums. Most of its features we've already seen on other robots, such as its ability to empty its dustbin, clean its mop, then dry it to prevent the accumulation of mildew. It also boasts an avoidance system to ensure it's not bumping into any shoes, toys, or other items that have accidentally been left in its path. And while its 8,000 Pa of suction is impressive, it's a number a handful of other robots have already hit.

Roborock shows off highly automated robot vacuums at CES 2024
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra placed in its dock.

Roborock is responsible for many of the best robot vacuums, and this year is shaping up to be another big one for the company. A whole fleet of robot vacuums were on display at CES 2024, including the highly automated S8 MaxV Ultra and S8 Max Ultra -- both of which can connect to your home drainage system to automatically empty and refill their water reservoirs.

The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is the most luxurious of the bunch, offering a self-maintained cleaning system that will empty water tanks, refill water tanks, dispense detergent, wash its mop with hot water, and dry its mop with warm air. All this is possible due to its newfound ability to connect to your home's built-in drain lines, removing the need for you to fuss around with dirty water tanks or refill water reservoirs (which is arguably the worst part of owning a robot vacuum).
