How to use the Blink Mini 2 as a chime

Once you've linked the Blink Mini 2 with your Blink Video Doorbell, the camera will play a chime sound from its speaker. This is incredibly useful for all homes, but it's also a great way to save money as it prevents you from having to buy a standalone chime for the doorbell. With both products installed, here's how to get your Blink Mini 2 working as a chime.

Step 1: Whether you're using a Sync Module 2 or not, ensure the Blink Mini 2 and Blink Video Doorbell are connected to the same account and are on the same system.

Step 2: Tap the More button on the Blink Video Doorbell's thumbnail.

Step 3: Select Device Settings, then Doorbell and Chime Settings.

Step 4: Next, tap the Use Blink Mini Camera as Chime.

Step 5: This will pull up a list of all the Blink Mini devices that are installed in the same system as your Blink Video Doorbell. Select the Blink Mini 2 you want to use as the chime. Note that multiple cameras can be selected.

Step 6: Press Save.

Step 7: That's it! Your Blink Mini 2 will now chime when the Blink Video Doorbell rings.

How to customize the Blink Mini 2 chime settings

Once your Blink Mini 2 is configured to work as a chime, you'll gain access to a few additional settings you can tinker with.

Step 1: Tap the More button on the Blink Video Doorbell thumbnail.

Step 2: Select Device Settings, then Audio Settings.

Step 3: This will open a menu with options for Speaker Volume and Mini as a Chime Volume. The former lets you adjust the speaker volume of your camera, while the latter changes the volume of the chime that plays when your doorbell rings.

Blink Mini 2 chime troubleshooting

Getting the Blink Mini 2 and Blink Video Doorbell linked is usually a simple process, but there are a few pitfalls to be aware of. For one, you'll need to make sure the two are running on the same system. When you first add your devices to the app, you'll be asked to create a new system or add it to an existing system. If you accidentally installed the devices on different systems, you can simply delete the device and go through the install process again – this time choosing to install it on an existing system.

You'll also want to make sure you check the volume of your chime, as turning it too low could prevent you from hearing it when the doorbell rings. Aside from those two issues, you shouldn't encounter any problems getting this unique feature to work. If you do, consider reaching out to Blink for more extensive troubleshooting.

If you live somewhere that deals with a bit of crime and want a bit of security, a home security camera can be a good option, even if it's just to keep an eye 0n things. The great thing is that in the past decade or so, security cameras have come a long way, and nowadays, you can get things like wireless security cameras that let you access them remotely from wherever you are through an application. Of course, that does mean that there is a huge selection out there, which is why we've collected some of our favorite security camera deals below, although if you're in the Amazon ecosystem, it might be worth checking out these Ring camera deals.
EufyCam 2C Pro -- $70 $150 53% off

Another budget-friendly option is the EufyCam 2C Pro, which has a surprisingly long battery, up to a full year, an impressive number regardless of which way you cut it. It also has a pretty loud siren to warn you and, even more impressively, offers an anti-theft feature that triggers said loud siren. Unfortunately, it does have a couple of downsides, with the primary one being that faces aren't obvious at night, and that may impact identifying a trespasser. A lot of that has to do with the maximum 2k resolution, which isn't as high as other offerings on this list that go up to 4k. You will need an Amazon Prime membership to get this discount though.

Something I love to do, every chance I get, is to share my experiences with select products, especially on deal posts and sales features. Why? Because that gives people a much better idea of what they can expect if they were to take advantage of those offers. For better or worse, you gain something, and that's precisely what I plan to do with BLUETTI's latest Elite 200 V2 portable power station. You see, I happen to have one in my possession which I acquired recently. And a good thing, too, with all of the hurricanes that have been hitting our area -- I live near Tampa, Florida.

Thanks to BLUETTI Black Friday deals and discounts, that have just dropped, there are several power stations on sale, including the Elite 200 V2. It's a 2,600-watt and 2,073.6-watt-hour power station, which is frankly a massive capacity for something this size, that can power up to nine devices simultaneously -- I've tested that too. Understandably, you probably care more about the prices and discounts so let's get into it.

BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 portable power station deal -- hero

Typically, when a new launch happens you don't see a significant discount for a while, and for good reason. But perhaps because it's so close to Black Friday and the holiday discounts, BLUETTI just dropped a new release and an incredible deal. The brand-spanking-new Elite 200 V2 is $900 off the regular price. That means you can take home the Elite 200 V2, a 2073.6-watt-hour portable power station, for $1,099, instead of $1,999. That discount is good until December 3rd, so don't wait around if you need one. With another storm brewing off the coast of Florida, now's a good time to get a backup power solution if you don't already have one.
