You may or may not know this, but certain online retailers and various small brands will actually increase prices before a huge sale, like early Black Friday sales, actual Black Friday, or even Cyber Monday and Cyber Week. Let’s say, for example, they discount the product by $20. Weeks before, they might raise the price by $30 to make the discount look bigger. So, the reality is you’re not actually getting a great deal — they trick you. There is a way to combat this and find the best early Black Friday deals and beyond. There’s a tool I use called CamelCamelCamel, which works wonders to help you find the real deals and steals. Well, anyway, I used the tool to find the best deal prices for Black Friday, and the holiday discounts. Let’s take a closer look at some of those deals. Spoiler: They’re so, so good.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max — now $33, was $60 45% off

Amazon

It makes a lot of sense that Amazon’s devices would be discounted heavily for Black Friday and the holiday sales, so no surprise here. But if you’ve been wanting to upgrade your streaming game you can’t go wrong with the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max.

Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Drill and Impact Driver — now $129, was $239 46%off

Dewalt

We’ve covered this drill set a lot in the past because, well, I have it. I also love it. It’s great for just about anything drill-related. I use it to hang pictures, and TVs, and build various things around the home – my most recent project was building a wooden box around a TV on my outdoor patio. It worked wonderfully. Anyway, it comes with a regular electric drill and a hammer drill, the latter of which makes it so much easier to punch through hard materials like stone or concrete. This deal is one of the best in a while.

27-inch Sceptre IPS 2K Gaming Monitor — now $169, was $200 16% off

Sceptre

Need a new gaming monitor or just want an extra one? You can’t go wrong here. It’s 27 inches, supports 2K QHD resolutions — 2560 by 1440 — with HDR400, and at 165Hz with a 1ms response time. If you don’t know any of those numbers, don’t worry, it’s a decent monitor, even more so at the current deal price.

Sony WH-1000XM4  Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones — now $198, was $348 43% off

Sony

The Sony WH-1000XM4  Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones earned a full five stars from our audio reviewer back when they launched. They’re still that good. This deal price makes them super enticing, especially if you don’t have a comparable pair handy. They’re comfortable, offer excellent sound quality, offer great noise cancelation features, and include a bunch of extras. At least check them out.

Garmin Vivoactive 5 Smartwatch — now $200, was $300 33% off

Garmin

We gave the Garmin Vivoactive 5 four stars in our review and for good reason. It offers exceptional fitness and health tracking, long-lasting and reliable battery life, doesn’t require any needless subscriptions, and has a beautiful AMOLED display. Garmin’s software can be a little trick for new users, but once you get the hang of it, you’re all set. Don’t let that scare you away from his incredible fitness and health-oriented smartwatch. Garmin makes some of the best out there on the market today and this one is no exception. Plus, you know, that’s a great deal price.

Nintendo Switch OLED with White Joy-Cons — now $349, was $350 1% off

This is actually less than a 1% discount which will probably lead many of you to ask why I even included it. The answer is that it’s still the best price out there right now, even by a small margin. If you have Amazon gift cards or some money saved up, you can save quite a bit on it. Maybe you earned some money doing Amazon tasks or surveys? Bam, then the best place to buy is Amazon already and now you’ll save even more.

MSI Claw Ultra 7-155H PC gaming handheld — now $471, was $749 37% off

MSI

Look, the MSI Claw isn’t the best gaming handheld on the market right now — that’s fairly evident. But this deal price does put it on our radar. Instead of the usual AMD chipset like the Steam Deck and its competitors, the MSI Claw opts for an Intel Ultra 7-155H, with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a 512TB solid-state drive, a microSD card reader, and a 7-inch FHD 120Hz display. Then there’s that snazzy RGB around the joysticks. I don’t know, think about it.

65-inch LG C3 Series Class OLED evo 4K smart TV — now $1,297, was $1,500 14% off

LG

You know as well as I do that during these huge sales there are TV deals and discounts flying all over the damn place. It’s difficult to keep up at times, that’s for sure. But this LG smart TV deal is one of the best out there right now according to sources. It’s a 4K OLED with a sweet spot size — 65-inches — making it suitable to place in bedrooms, game rooms, garages, living rooms, you name it. The deal price doesn’t hurt either.

2024 Apple MacBook Air 15-inch with M3 — now $1,299, was $1,499 13% off

2024 Apple MacBook Air 15-inch with M3 chip
Apple

At one of its lowest prices in a long while, this Apple MacBook Air features 16GB of unified memory, a 512GB solid-state drive for storage, and the Apple M3 chip. It’s lean, mean, and one of the most powerful MacBooks released. The portable design lends itself well to creatives, with 18 hours of battery life on a single charge despite having a beautiful 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display. This is a great deal, folks.

Ultraloq showcases the first-ever ultra-wideband smart lock at CES 2025
Bolt Mission UWB + NFC installed on a white door.

Ultraloq showed off two smart locks at CES 2025 -- one of which is the first smart lock to ever offer ultra-wideband (UWB) support. The Ultraloq Bolt Mission UWB + NFC uses UWB technology to unlock automatically as you approach your front door. Similar functionality already exists on other smart locks, but UWB should allow the Ultraloq Bolt Mission to be more accurate than the competition.

The Bolt Mission uses technology similar to digital car keys, and Ultraloq says it can track the keyholder’s phone location with “centimeter-level” accuracy. As your phone gets closer to the front door, the Bolt Mission can be programmed to automatically unlock, giving you a hands-free way to get inside. Better yet, because the smart lock can detect both your distance and direction from the front door, it should prevent you from accidentally unlocking the smart lock while inside your home.

Ulticam shows off three AI-powered security cameras at CES 2025
The Ulticam IQ installed outside a home.

Ulticam, the new security camera brand of Xthings, revealed a lineup of three AI-powered cameras at CES 2025. The Ulticam IQ, Ulticam IQ Floodlight, and Ulticam Dot offer not just cool AI capabilities, but also free seven-day cloud storage -- which could make them a solid choice for value-minded shoppers leery about signing up for monthly storage plans.

The Ulticam IQ and IQ Floodlight are the main attractions, as they're packed with features that should pose solid competition for the best smart security cameras from Arlo, Nest, and Ring. The duo uses edge AI to quickly identify people, vehicles, and packages without needing to upload the video for server-side processing. This onboard processing should result in faster performance -- it’s also great for privacy and security, as your footage doesn’t have to leave your device.

Home Depot expands Hubspace smart home lineup at CES 2025
The Home Depot Hubspace logo on a white background.

Hubspace, Home Depot’s smart home platform, has seen impressive growth over the past few years, and that growth continued at CES 2025. Three new gadgets were revealed at the event, including a wireless power switch to control Hubspace products, a portable air conditioner, and a window-mounted air conditioner. All three are unique additions to the catalog -- and since there’s not much like them on the market, they should quickly become popular options in their respective niches.

The Hubspace Remote Switch is arguably the most useful of the three gadgets. Designed to look like a light switch, but with a removable remote controller, it works with select Hubspace light bulbs, fixtures, plugs, power sockets, surge protectors, and more. You’ll get standard on and off functions, plus access to brightness controls. Its sleek looks and versatility should make it a great choice for shoppers seeking an entry-level smart switch.
