What to consider

How protective should my case be?

As protective as you need. If you're an adventurer, get something very rugged and protective, but if you spend a lot of your day shackled to a desk, you can get by with a slimmer case if you prefer. I'd recommend raised edges to protect your screen and camera at a minimum, but others may prioritize a case with a built-in screen protector or multiple layers for extra padding. You can always swap it for a different one later.

What features do I need?

Again, depends on use. Wallet cases are great, but if you don't need the card slots, it's a waste. Wireless charging, dust and water protection, and built-in kickstands are popular features that not all phone cases have. Just think about what would make your phone more convenient than it already is and prioritize those features.

How expensive should a case be?

You do tend to get more for your money where cases are concerned, and it's generally in terms of quality. Cheap cases feel cheap and often don't protect all that well. Expecting to pay at least $20 is a good place to start.

How we tested

We spend significant time with cases from important and historic brands like Spigen, Otterbox, and UAG, which inform our recommendations. We know and trust those companies, and they've kept our phones safe. That said, we don't always have the resources to test every case to the same degree. Testing methods vary depending on the phone and case, but testers generally use the case for some time and report significant positive and negative aspects they noticed.

Why trust us

We love tech, we love phones, and we've spent a lot of time playing with the latest and greatest phones, tablets, and wearables of all stripes. While we won't pretend we know everything, we're always amongst the first to enthusiastically dive into any new operating system updates, new devices, and accessories.

The best iPhone 15 Plus cases in 2025: 15 best ones right now
A person holding the Apple iPhone 15 Plus.

Apple's iPhone 16 lineup is here, and it packs a big punch. But if you aren’t planning on upgrading, the iPhone 15 Plus is still a formidable phone for just about any user. Its large, crystal-clear 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Dynamic Island, A16 Bionic chip for fast performance with iOS 18, and powerful dual-camera setup with 48-megapixel main and 12MP ultrawide lenses are nothing to sneeze at. And of course, you can charge it up with USB-C, since Apple finally ditched its proprietary Lightning charger as of the iPhone 15's 2023 debut.

Even after price drops, the iPhone 15 Plus is still a pricey phone, whether you’re buying new or upgrading from an older model. You can expect to pay $799 for the base model, which is still a hefty chunk of change. If you’re parting with that much cash, you’ll definitely want to protect your investment, and one of the easiest ways to do so is with a good case (and a screen protector helps out too!). Here are some of the best iPhone 15 Plus cases you can buy right now.
