The Sisterhood gains power in new Dune: Prophecy teaser trailer

Sacrifices must be made in the new teaser trailer for Dune: Prophecy.

Set 10,000 years before the events of Dune, the prequel series explores the origins of the Bene Gesserit and their rise to power. The one-minute clip shows the Sisterhood wielding its control over the Imperium. “The more influence our Sisterhood gains, the more enemies we make,” one of the sisters ominously states.

Alison Schapker serves as showrunner and executive producer of Dune: Prophecy. Diane Ademu-John is a co-developer and executive producer on the series, but departed the project as a co-showrunner shortly after production began. Dune: Prophecy is based on the novels Dune by Frank Herbert and Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

Originally branded as a Max Orginal, Dune: Prophecy is now an HBO Orginal. Warner Bros. also shifted the branding from Max Originals to HBO Originals for several other shows, including The Penguin, LanternsWelcome to Derry, and the Harry Potter series.

Dune: Prophecy is the second Dune project of the year behind Dune: Part Two, Denis Villeneuve’s epic sequel to DuneDune: Part Two was met with universal acclaim and grossed over $711 million worldwide. Dune 3 is currently in development, with the potential for a December 2026 release.

The Rage Virus has evolved in the first trailer for 28 Years Later, the long-awaited third film in the zombie apocalypse franchise created by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland.

The terrifying footage is set to an eerie reading of Rudyard Kipling's poem Boots. The trailer highlights the beginning of the zombie virus wreaking havoc in the U.K. It then jumps to 10,228 days later, as a group of survivors lives in isolation on a heavily guarded island. One of those survivors is played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who heads to the mainland armed with a bow and arrow.

Arthur Fleck is singing and dancing his way to Max this month. Joker: Folie à Deux will be available to stream on Max starting on Friday, December 13. It will then make its HBO linear debut at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, December 14.

Polarizing doesn't even begin to describe Joker: Folie à Deux. Most audiences and critics completely rejected Todd Phillips' musical. In his two-star review for Digital Trends, A.A. Dowd wrote: "The Joker sequel is unlikely to satisfy old fans or convert new ones.”

1923 season 2: Paramount+ announces premiere date, unveils teasers

Yellowstone might be ending, but the spinoffs are going strong. Paramount+ announced that 1923 season 2 will premiere on Sunday, February 23. Accompanying the announcement are two teasers and a series of photos that preview what's to come in 1923.

In the first teaser, Spencer Dutton (Brandon Sklenar) begins his journey home to Montana, stressing that he must hurry because his family is in danger. The second teaser features Jacob (Harrison Ford) and Cara Dutton (Helen Mirren) fighting to protect their ranch. "Our way of life is under attack. I'm asking you to protect them," Jacob says as he readies for battle against his enemies.
