What’s new on Paramount+ in April 2025
Ralph Fiennes in The Return.

Christopher Nolan may be making The Odyssey through the rest of this year, but Paramount+ features a different take on the classic tale in April 2025. The Return, an epic film that had a very limited theatrical release last year, adapts the final chapter in The Odyssey, with Ralph Fiennes as an older Odysseus. The warrior king has become a broken man after two decades away, but he'll have to fight to reclaim his kingdom and his wife, Penelope (Juliette Binoche).
Another little-seen gem, The Last Stop in Yuma County, is joining Paramount+'s movie library this month. This film is a neo-Western set in the '70s, and it may be cult classic material. Some of the other highlights this month include An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile, and new episodes of MobLand, which will run throughout the month.
Some of the most enticing additions to this month's movie library are exclusive to Paramount+ with Showtime. Paramount+'s lower tiers get everything else. Keep that in mind when looking over our roundup of everything new on Paramount+ in April 2025. The shows and movies below marked with an asterisk (*) are only available on Paramount+ with Showtime. Titles marked with a double asterisk (**) can be live-streamed from CBS by Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers. Our picks for the month are in bold.

And if you subscribe to other streaming services, we also have helpful guides to the best new shows to stream, the best shows on Netflix, the best movies streaming on Amazon, and the best TV shows streaming on Amazon.

Everything you need to know about Yellowstone season 6
The cast of Yellowstone.

Since its premiere in 2018, Yellowstone has been a breakout hit for the Paramount Network and one of the most popular shows on TV. Taylor Sheridan's modern Western also revitalized Kevin Costner's career by placing him in the lead as John Dutton, the patriarch of the Dutton family, who own the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, one of the largest ranches in Montana.

The fifth season of Yellowstone premiered in 2022, but the future of the series and the franchise were called into question when reports emerged that Costner was leaving the show and Paramount Network had already ordered a sequel series that will continue without Costner's involvement. To bring everyone up to speed, here's everything you need to know about the future of Yellowstone.
Will there be a sixth season of Yellowstone?

Everything coming to PBS in April 2025
The cast of Evilside season 1.

You won't find a lot of drama series on PBS this month beyond the Finnish series Evilside or the French series The Mountain Detective. The trade-off for everything coming to PBS in April 2025 is new episodes of Antiques Roadshow, Finding Your Roots, Nova, Great Performances, Nature, and Independent Lens.
That's a pretty wide selection for a service that doesn't charge you to watch it on TV. Many of these shows can also be found online or on PBS Passport, but the latter does tend to ask for donations in return for access.
If you missed the best shows on PBS from March, you can still stream those online. However, you'll have to wait for the premiere dates listed below to catch everything coming to PBS in April.

Are you looking for more shows to watch this month? If so, check out our guides on the best new shows to stream, the best shows on Netflix, the best shows on Hulu, and the best shows on Disney+.
