It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Won’t you be my neighbor? These words were sung in every episode of the iconic educational children’s TV show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, one of the best PBS shows ever. Created by Fred Rogers, who also served as host, the long-running series aired from 1968 through 2001, and it’s now available to stream for free on Pluto TV.

You can watch Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood both live and on demand, available via a 24/7 channel that’s all Mister Rogers, all the time. The show, born from the Canadian series Misterogers, which debuted north of the border in 1962, was designed for preschool-aged kids ages 2 through 5.

While it’s decades old, the messaging and tone of positivity as well as the content and themes remain relevant to this day. Parents, and particularly grandparents, will love watching a new generation of children become enthralled with Rogers’ soft-spoken, sweet, kind demeanor. In every episode, he talks about different subjects, chats with puppets and people, and explores different places within his neighborhood to learn more about them — from the local bakery to the workshop.

What makes Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood stand out is that Rogers made a point of being as natural as possible on camera. He wasn’t a character, he was just Fred. Sadly, Rogers passed away in 2003 at the age of 74, but his spirit and the show live on. Now, Pluto TV users can watch for free via the live channel or on demand. Currently, you’ll find episodes from seasons 23, 25, and 26, which aired in 1993, 1995, and 1996, respectively. The free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel will eventually feature more than 390 episodes starting from the debut year in 1968 through to the final season in 2001, so you can go back again and again to watch and re-watch episodes with the kids.

The currently available episodes include Rogers visiting Brockett’s Bakery to learn how to decorate gingerbread men, learning how toothbrushes are made and how to take care of your teeth, and attending a practice of the Harlem Spiritual Ensemble. Some episodes feature special guests and characters. Fun fact: Actor Michael Keaton got his start on the show, playing a “Flying Zookeeni Brother” in 1975. He also served as a production assistant and hosted the 50th anniversary special celebrating the show back in 2018.

Watch Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood for free via the live channel or on demand on Pluto TV. You can also check out our full explainer on Pluto TV for everything you need to know.

3 great free movies to stream this weekend (February 7-9)
A group of football players stand with their coach.

This weekend welcomes one of the year's biggest sporting events, the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will play in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game is a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, which saw the Chiefs defeat the Eagles by a score of 38-35. This time, the Eagles will try to avenge their loss and prevent the Chiefs from winning three consecutive Super Bowls.
The Super Bowl is typically the most-watched TV event of the calendar year. Even if you don't like football, many consumers tune in for the entertaining commercials. To get ready for the game, FAST services have a wide selection of football movies to stream for free. Our recommendations include a comedy about a team of replacements, a 1990s comedy, and an underdog story.

The Replacements (2000)

Everyone likes a good redemption story. For the players in The Replacements, this is their shot at becoming football heroes. Due to a players' strike, the Washington Sentinels are left without a team. The Sentinels must win three of their final four games to make the postseason. Sentinels owner Edward O'Neil (Jack Warden) hires former coach Jimmy McGinty (Gene Hackman) to lead a team of replacement players for the rest of the season.
McGinty accepts the deal and forms the team his way. The centerpiece of the new squad is quarterback Shane Falco (Keanu Reeves), a former All-American whose career went downhill after choking in a big game. With Falco as the leader, McGinty fills in the rest of the squad with rejects and no-names. However, the team eventually comes together and bonds over their shared disappointments. Who knows? Maybe a team of bench guys can become legends.

Nicolas Cage puts his fists together in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

Much to the surprise of many, Mark Wahlberg playing a bald, unhinged villain worked as Flight Risk grabbed the top spot at the domestic box office. The Mel Gibson-directed thriller came in first place with $12 million, followed by Mufasa with $8.7 million and One of Them Days with $8 million. This weekend should be another slow venture at the box office unless Companion and its intriguing AI premise can win audiences over.
If none of these theatrical options sound intriguing, there are ways to watch movies for free at home thanks to FAST services. With a FAST service, subscribers can watch thousands of movies for free, simply by signing up and watching ads. Don't believe us? Watch one of these free movies: a crime thriller, a meta-comedy, and a 1990s action pic.

Thief (1981)

When examining Michael Mann's filmography, most fans will have Heat or The Insider at the top of the rankings. Heat, the terrific crime thriller starring James Caan, falls immediately below that tier. Noted for being Mann's feature film directorial debut, Heat gets Caan at the end of his decade-long run as one of Hollywood's biggest stars.
Ex-con Frank (Caan) has transitioned into a jewel thief post-prison. Despite his lavish lifestyle, Frank wants to abandon his criminal past and start fresh as a family man. Enter Jessie (Tuesday Weld), his new girlfriend, and a ticket to a normal life. Frank plans to execute one more score for his gangster employer, Leo (Robert Prosky), and get out. Unfortunately, Leo has other plans and will do whatever it takes to keep Frank as his top thief. Mann loves his troubled men, and Cann plays the perfect tough guy searching for a better life in this invigorating thriller.

Four magicians stand next to each other in Now You See Me.

Wolf Man was supposed to be the horror that rules the box office. Instead, Wolf Man stumbled over the holiday weekend with a $10.9 million opening. A familiar lion returned to the top as Mufasa topped the domestic box office with $11.7 million. Business won't be booming this weekend with the arrival of Flight Risk, a thriller that could open under $10 million.
With a lack of enticing options at the theaters, staying home could be a viable option. Thanks to FAST services, subscribers do not have to pay to watch movies. Instead of a payment plan, FAST services include ads that must be watched during the feature presentation. That's not a bad deal at all. Try watching one of these three movies, including a disaster thriller, a heist adventure, and a rom-com.
