Amazon may have been a little late turning in its homework this month, but we’re giving everything new on Amazon Prime Video in April 2025 a high grade. The selection of new movies added to the Prime Video library, including last year’s Oscar contender Conclave, is impressive.
Prime Video also has a strong lineup of originals in April, including The Bondsman, a new series that features Kevin Bacon as a bounty hunter who sends demons back to Hell for Satan. Meanwhile, Viola Davis is an action president in G20, and that’s not a joke. Not since Harrison Ford in Air Force One has one of our nation’s fictional leaders had to step up to such a challenge largely by themselves.
On April 8, Prime Video is adding the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, which looks really promising. But good luck pronouncing “GQuuuuuuX.” There are also new episodes throughout the month of Bosch: Legacy and The Wheel of Time.
