Where to watch Sleepless in Seattle

Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in Sleepless in Seattle
TriStar Pictures

Fans don’t really need a reason to revisit Sleepless in Seattle beyond the fact that it’s one of the best romantic comedies ever made. The film also has its fair share of drama, as Sam Baldwin (Tom Hanks) and his son, Jonah (Ross Malinger), mourn for their wife and mother, respectively. Because Jonah wants his dad to be happy, he calls into a nationally syndicated radio show to share his story, which captures the attention and the imagination of Annie Reed (Meg Ryan). Annie is very intrigued by Sam’s plight regardless of the fact that she’s already engaged to Walter Jackson (Bill Pullman).

Thanks largely to this film, Hanks and Ryan are considered rom-com royalty. The irony is that they share very little screen time together. This movie shouldn’t work as well as it does, but few romantic comedies have matched its success. It’s just a classic, and we’re here to tell you where you can stream Sleepless in Seattle.

Where is Sleepless in Seattle streaming?

Last year, it seemed like Sleepless in Seattle was streaming everywhere. However, for the 2023 holiday season, Sleepless Seattle only streams on a single platform: AMC+. That is the official streaming service of the AMC cable network, which also has Sleepless in Seattle available to stream on-demand for cable TV subscribers.

If you’re not an AMC+ or cable subscriber, the only other way to stream the film for now is to rent or buy it on digital outlets like YouTube and Prime Video.

How much does it cost to subscribe?

AMC+ has three primary plans for subscribers. There’s a $5 monthly package for AMC+ with ads, and the price goes up to $9 per month if you want AMC+ without ads. You can get a better deal by signing up for an annual AMC+ subscription without ads for $84 a year, which breaks down to just under $7 a month.

Is it worth it?

Sleepless in Seattle (1993) Trailer HQ

Well, sure. The movie’s popularity is justified; it’s a legitimate charmer, with almost zero of the usual saccharine that usually accompanies movies in this genre. That’s thanks to writer/director Nora Ephron, who hadn’t yet compromised her talents with hokum like You’ve Got Mail (which reunited Hanks and Ryan in a woeful 1998 rom-com) and the film adaptation of Bewitched. Her clever screenplay, which was nominated for an Oscar that year, balances wit and whimsy with aplomb.

Also, look at that cast! You have not only Hanks and Ryan in their primes, but also Rosie O’Donnell, Rob Reiner, Bill Pullman, David Hyde Pierce, Gaby Hoffman, Rita Wilson, Victor Garber, Frances Conroy, and many more. There’s also a great soundtrack featuring the likes of Louis Armstrong, Carly Simon, and other greats.

Sleepless in Seattle has a score of 75% on the Tomatometer and a critics score of 72%.

Where to watch Titans vs. Dolphins: NFL Week 4 Monday Night Football live stream
Will Levis stands at the podium and speaks.

There will be a doubleheader on Monday Night Football for the second consecutive week. In the first game, Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans (0-3) travel to Florida to play Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins (1-2). Chris Fowler, Dan Orlovsky, Louis Riddick, and Laura Rutledge will be on the call for ESPN.

The Titans and Dolphins have major questions at quarterback coming into Week 4's game. Levis' turnovers are costing the Titans possessions, points, and ultimately, games. His inability to protect the ball is a huge issue. For Miami, their starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, is out with a concussion. Their backup, Skylar Thompson, is not 100%. Will head coach Mike McDaniel trot out an injured Thompson, or let Tim Boyle or Tyler Huntley take over?

Week 3 of the NFL season concludes with a special Monday Night Football doubleheader. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be on the call, with reporter Lisa Salters and rules analyst Russell Yurk providing updates throughout the night.

It wasn't a pretty Week 2 performance in Washington, but the Commanders managed to defeat the Giants 21-18 despite failing to score a touchdown. While Washington found a way to win, Cincinnati lost the game to the Kansas City Chiefs in the closing moments. After a pass interference penalty kept the Chiefs' drive alive, kicker Harrison Butker nailed a game-winning field goal to beat the Bengals 26-25.
