It’s never too early to book your visit to Gotham City. Moviegoers who want to beat the lines on May 4 can now purchase tickets to The Batman in advance at Fandango, AMC Theatres, and other participating ticketing services. As one of 2022’s most anticipated movies, you’d want to reserve your seat as quickly as possible as demand will be high to see what is in store for everyone’s favorite brooding superhero.

To purchase tickets at Fandango, be sure to input your city, state, and zip code so you can select the theater closest to you. In a statement to Deadline, Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis claimed that “Fans can’t wait for the first live-action solo Batman movie in ten years. Matt Reeves’ vision returns us to Batman’s detective roots, and fans will enjoy Robert Pattinson’s grittier and more daring take on Bruce Wayne and The Batman.”

To purchase tickets at AMC Theatres, go to the website or app. AMC is running a promotion that offers a limited edition NFT for all moviegoers who purchase tickets on the web or the app to The Batman by 2/14.

How HBO’s The Penguin sets the stage for The Batman Part 2 … and can make the sequel even better

Director Matt Reeves’ The Batman earned critical and commercial success in 2022, and while it’ll be sometime before the sequel, HBO’s The Penguin has been filling that void. Showrunner Lauren LeFranc (Chuck, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) has done an impressive job of fleshing out the character arc of Colin Farrell’s transformative version of Oswald Cobblepot — and Gotham City with it.

The HBO miniseries feels like an ambitious Breaking Bad and Sopranos-like take on Batman’s sandbox, seemingly setting the stage for what fans might see in 2026’s The Batman Part II. While the show undoubtedly adds layers to “Oz’s” rise as a major player in the city’s streets, Cristin Milioti’s menacing Sofia Gigante suggests there’s more on the horizon for Gotham’s criminal underworld.

Now that Venom: The Last Dance has premiered in theaters, Sony revealed more of its plans for the Lethal Protector and its cinematic universe in relation to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This threequel saw the symbiote god Knull send an army of his alien minions to Earth to harness Venom's power so Knull could break free from his cosmic prison.

Though The Last Dance was billed as Eddie Brock and Venom's last adventure together, the way the film sets up future stories involving Knull and the symbiotes implies that their story is far from over. And since Venom has yet to meet Spider-Man, it's unlikely Sony will let that hype and buildup be for nothing. Now that The Last Dance is finally in cinemas, here's everything that's on the horizon for Venom and the rest of these Marvel films.
