Dan Gaul is the co-founder and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for Digital Trends Media Group, a Portland, Oregon-based publisher of consumer-targeted websites. In his role, Dan is charged with oversight of tech operations for Digital Trends’ suite of platforms including: Digital Trends (www.http://digitaltrends.com), the popular site for news, information and reviews on personal tech; its Spanish-language companion, DT Español (http://es.digitaltrends.com) and The Manual (http://www.themanual.com/) an aspirational-living site targeted to males.As CTO, Dan is responsible for development for all Digital Trends platforms, SEO (search engine optimization) and research. Along with his business partner and fellow co-founder Ian Bell, the pair launched Digital Trends in 2006 and continued to build and fortify DigitalTrends.com, which currently attracts roughly 25MM visitors per month.

Speaking Engagements:• Dan served as a panelist for Eventbrite’s “eROI Presents Versus: Let the Creative Sparks Fly” in which he discussed controversies faced by today’s creative industry. • Dan will join the Technology Association of Oregon’s LinkedIn Live Portland conference, where he’ll be featured on a panel discussing how to create a brand that attracts talent and how LinkedIn helped build his company from two employees to a staff of 80 professionals. • Dan and Ian Bell lead a workshop at TechFest NW – a Portland area business and networking conference.
