Every year, publishers and developers gather in Los Angeles to hold one of the biggest video game conventions in the world: E3. Fans have plenty of announcements and previews to look forward to, booths are also a big part of all the excitement. From Nintendo to Capcom, here are the best booths at E3 2019.
Just another Star Wars game? Jedi: Fallen Order struggles to stand out
During the EA Play E3 2019 livestream, we were shown gameplay footage of Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We were shown combat, traversal, and BD-1's role as a companion to Cal Kestis. It looks stunning and fun, though what we know about the story leaves something to be desired.
Fallout 76 to add NPCs and a battle royale mode called Nuclear Wasteland
At the Bethesda E3 2019 showcase, Todd Howard admitted to the rough launch of Fallout 76. In an effort to get players back into the game, the publisher is releasing a free update called Wastelanders that will add NPCs, dialogue trees, and a new questline. A battle royale mode is also coming to the game.
Google will announce Stadia pricing, games, and launch details this week
Google revealed in a tweet that details about Stadia's pricing, games, and launch will be shared on Thursday, June 6 at 9 a.m. PT. This is an interesting turn of events, seeing as the company reportedly decided to announce this information during a new livesteam, Stadia Connect, ahead of E3 2019.
Nintendo’s E3 2019 booth lineup does not include Animal Crossing
In a release addressed to fans, Nintendo included a list of games that will be available on the showroom floor at E3 2019. Titles included Pokémon Sword and Shield, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Link’s Awakening, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. One game not mentioned, however, is Animal Crossing.
