The online multiplayer title will be available in its entirety during the beta test, but it requires a pre-order in order to gain access. Xbox One players will get to try it out first.
‘Pokémon Go’ studio Niantic plans to add trainer battles by the end of the year
Pokémon Go developer Niantic has revealed that it plans to add trainer-versus-trainer battles to the AR game by the end of 2018. The game launched back in 2016 for iOS and Android, and monster trading was enabled earlier this year. Pokémon Go continues to add new Pokémon and other features over time.

Nintendo gets GitHub-hosted Game Boy Advance emulator taken down
Nintendo has successfully filed a formal takedown request with GitHub over a Game Boy Advance emulator hosted on the website. Speedrunner completes all five main Fallout games in under 90 minutes
A Fallout speedrunner has managed to complete the four numbered games and New Vegas in less than 90 minutes, setting a new world record. The final time was calculated with loading times removed, and was accomplished with a mix of glitches and exploits. Other spinoff games were not included.
Nerf this – literally: ‘Overwatch’ to get Nerf gun line in 2019
Hasbro seems to have taken D.Va's "Nerf this" taunt to heart, as the company is producing a line of Overwatch Nerf guns to begin releasing in 2019. The first of these will be Reaper's shotgun, and the company said special color-code darts will be released for each character's Nerf weapon.

Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against two separate websites over their distributing of ROMs of Nintendo games. One site has already been taken offline as a result, while another removed Nintendo games from its library. Nintendo has been an outspoken opponent of emulators and piracy for years.

Japanese police have arrested a man accused of selling modified Pokémon Go accessories that allow players to interact with the game without having to do anything but walk by an area. He is alleged to have sold four modified Pokémon Go Plus wristbands between January and February of this year.

Someone made a working analog alarm clock from Nintendo Labo
Nintendo recently held the Nintendo Labo Creators Contest to award players who made the best custom gadgets, and one builder even constructed a working analog alarm clock from cardboard. Nine total winners were selected, with three coming from each contest category. A second contest begins July 19.

The Pokémon Company is turning all 151 original Kanto-region Pokémon into plush toys, with the first batch set to release on July 13. The plush toys are palm-sized and will cost about $10 each. They'll be sold in Japanese Pokémon Center stores, but we're crossing our fingers for a North American release.
